Terms of Service

These terms set out the rules for using VoltIQ, a flat-fee subscription platform for Australian energy customers.

Last updated: 29 June 2026

1. Who we are

VoltIQ Pty Ltd (ABN 00 000 000 000) ("VoltIQ", "we", "us") provides an independent subscription platform for Australian energy customers. We are not a licensed electricity retailer and do not sell electricity. We help businesses compare, negotiate and manage contracts they sign directly with third-party retailers.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be authorised to act for the business on whose behalf you create an account.
  • You must provide accurate, current and complete information.

3. Our role

We provide tools and guidance on a subscription basis. We do not guarantee savings, that any particular retailer will offer you a contract, or that prices shown will remain available. All final pricing, terms and conditions are set by the retailer in the contract you sign directly with them. Nothing on the platform is financial, engineering, or legal advice.

4. Data sources and guidance only (applies to all services)

This clause applies to every feature and service on the platform, including bill comparisons, plan recommendations, solar and battery sizing, NEM12 / interval data analysis, network tariff reviews, power quality and harmonics analysis, DMA reviews, tender and contract management, grants tracking, AI assistant outputs, exported PDFs, and any other current or future tool. By accepting these terms you accept this disclaimer across all services without it needing to be repeated inside each tool.

Figures, suggestions and recommendations are produced from information you provide (bills, usage, NMI, postcode, site details) and from publicly available data sourced from electricity retailers, government websites, distributor (DNSP) websites, AEMO and other external parties. We do not independently verify every rate or tariff, and external data can change without notice. The platform is a guidance tool to help you compare options; it does not replace professional financial, engineering or legal advice or your own due diligence.

5. We do not take responsibility for calculations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the accuracy of any calculation, estimate, comparison, sizing, savings range, payback, sensitivity figure or recommendation shown on the platform. Errors in data entry, changes in retailer pricing, updates to network tariffs, weather, site conditions, export limits, rounding and modelling assumptions can all affect actual results. You must confirm key figures directly with the relevant retailer, installer, electrician or your own adviser before entering into a contract or making a financial decision.

6. Letter of Authority (LOA)

Before we approach retailers on your behalf, you must sign a Letter of Authority specifying scope, sites, NMIs and expiry. You may revoke the LOA at any time in writing.

7. Fees

VoltIQ is paid solely through the upfront subscription you choose. We do not accept commissions, rebates or success fees from electricity or gas retailers. See our How we get paid page for details. Any optional advisory engagement outside your subscription tier will be agreed in writing before work begins.

8. Acceptable use

  • Do not upload bills or data you do not have authority to share.
  • Do not attempt to access other customers' data or our systems without authorisation.
  • Do not use the platform to breach any law, including the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

9. Intellectual property

The platform, comparison logic, reports and brand are owned by VoltIQ. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your business's internal energy procurement.

10. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform is provided "as is". Our liability for any loss connected with the platform is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the service or refunding fees paid. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or pose a security or legal risk.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
